Okay, whose doing the assuming? My point is someone, or something, made that assumption about WCOM with respect to market weight and only now is the formula getting serious about throwing WCOM out of the index. Way too late.

No one picks stocks in an index fund, it is done based on a mathematical formula with respect to market weights

Where do you find such profound insights and nuggets of knowledge that the rest of the world seems to miss ?

BGR, you missed the liberal arts education in your life chasing all that technical education so here is a nugget for you.
