I am hard pressed to think of any situation where putting power in the hands of the customer has resulted in a worse product. Virtually always it results in a better product, since the customer now has the power to walk and go elsewhere. Under the current system I can move to a place where my kids get great schooling in the public schools, but not everyone has that opportunity. A widespread voucher system will force schools to be accountable to parents, rather than today's "take it or leave it" attitude imposed on parents with no real options. Now what LW group did you say I was a part of? <g>
