"Follow that maxim, even during this down trend, and you've come out ahead (if you sell)." I really don't agree with this comment. In fact, the problem in this downtrend from mid-March has been the fact that we have not done as you say, gap down and rally. In fact, the opposite has been true, more than your statement. Gap down has been sold, gap up has been sold. I'm speaking of a true gap, where the price is below the prior day's action. And, there are exceptions, of course. Yesterday was unusual in this move off an intermediate term high.....March '01.
