Bob, There is a pretty good article in the NY Times on how this was done. It mentions the "lines". What I don't understand is how AA & Co. could sign off on financials that were changed after the audit.

I certainly don't want to put words in anybody's mouth, and thought I was just paraphrasing what you were saying. I guess I don't understand under what circumstances "in service" lines would not be "generating revenue." Were they giving the service away? Using them internally?
