I was never for it. But I will reserve any praise for any political party until somebody gets a handle on the social security system which imo is purely pandering to a special interest (the un-means tested elderly) with a regressive tax on everybody else. If not for the war on terrorism we would have another aarp entitlement boondoggle too, that prescription drug program, fortunately that never flew.
