Goldsnow. ...Doubt Bush would come-out the way he did without consulting Mubarak, and Abdullah's...

I agree with you on that. Though I sure do not like that the Saudis and Egypt would dump Arafat like that. They were quiet all the time when Arafat flirted with Gaddafi and other extremist Arab leaders. Now I suppose that they have to take sides for if they do not do so then even their power will be shaken in the face of Islamic fundamentalism. I think that Saudis are damned if they do and damned if they don't. But they now have to come out of their neutral shell, more so because Osama is a Saudi citizen with a professed hatred for the monarchy and he has put them on notice by demonstrating to them his might after 9/11.

Baghrouti? Quite possible he was the "Deep Throat" that linked Arafat to terror once and for all..

You think so? It si quite possible considering the peaceful manner in which he turned himself in. If what you say is correct then you are suggesting that he is protective custody?

With Arafat remaining confined to the safety of his office, he has lost a good deal of following amongst the Palestenians. But it is still open as to what the Palestenians will do in the face of any attempts by the US/Israel's attempt to influence the outcome of the election directly or otherwise.
