>>Last night, CNBC said that Barron's said that stocks might not go anywhere for 20 years, lol !! Is that a sign of bottoming or what ? 3 to 5 years maybe -- but 20 ? C'mon.<<<

Demographics start to really deteriorate from an economic stand point in the last couple years of this decade. Personally I don't see any significant gains in the indexes for 25 years. WE should see continued PE deflation on all stocks until we hit value levels that are very compelling as will be evidenced by the dividends they spin off. Yep, I think dividends will again become a real issue as investors will be looking for income to be spun off instead of no value, bloated divisions. The only real growth I see is in the health sector and at some point we will be playing health stocks like the techs of the last decade. But, all in all, it will be a very selective market with few big winners as in even the health sector the increased earnings potential will draw heavy competition as the barriers to entry are not that significant in most fields. Government intervention through some kind of price controls will be an issue here too IMO.
