Mr. Watson -

It's clear to me that you use different standards of proof to judge the veracity of liberals in general and Bill Clinton in specific than you to conservatives.

You call my thinking foolish and shallow and say that I have made illogical statements, while offering conjecture and opinion on various matters as "proof" of various points. But conjecture and opinion are not proof. Why are you not holding yourself to the same standard you want to hold me to?

I don't believe that it's OK to call people stupid or crazy just because they don't see things exactly the way I do. We obviously disagree on that. At least, we disagree that it's OK for you to do so. I don't know if you'd afford me the same latitude.

It appears that it's OK for conservatives to mischaracterize the statements of liberals and to take their words out of context, but for liberals to do that to conservatives proves that they are bad, sick, stupid or crazy. Or all four.

I am not perfect. I've posted things in the heat of the moment without checking my sources, and I've retracted some of those things.

I am forced to conclude that the bias in your thinking, and that of many others on this thread, including Cyberken, Fangorn and Prolife just to name a few, makes it impossible to carry on a civil discussion. I fear that if I continue participating here, I will stoop to name-calling myself, because so much of what you and the others say is so offensive to me. I don't want to do that. Therefore I will demonstrate that there is an alternative to personal attacks when one has decided that rational discussion with another person is impossible. I'm going to stop trying to have the discussion.

No doubt you believe that my own thinking is biased, and of course I can't claim to be without emotion and totally objective. I'm human, too. Nonetheless, I have sincerely tried to offer real logic and rational arguments here.
