XY Zebra......Stated very well!

Both teams had their chances.
Schneider and Frings really picked up their play.

Add to you two games: Germany vs England '70 and Germany vs France '82.

Today Marcos played the way that Kahn played most of the tournament.
He should receive a great deal of credit. Without his spectacular plays
it might have been a different match.

Parents Kids game yesterday for two hours ... pool party, BBQ and watching
replay of Turkey /S. Korea game was great.

Argentina, Denmark, Italy, American-Italian, American-Irish and German players were represented.
What a spectacular group of kids and what talent. The kids won 7-5 against us adults.

After a sleep over and watching the final the kids are reading to head out again, today.

To me, ..... this is much more valuable than who won today!!! It's more than soccer.

>A great game.

No doubt about it!

>What surprised me is that although they succeeded in neutralizing Brazil, they did not go forward with the usual
relentlessness of the German team I am familiar with

Go forward with the usual relentless?????? Actually, I was shocked they did as much going forward as they did!

>I enjoyed the match as I did most of the tournament and for me that is exactly what I am after, regardless of whom I may be rooting for at any given moment in time. To me the most important thing is the game of football and the sportsmanship with which it is played. Today we saw good examples of both.

I fully agree with you on this one!

>I can always count to watch a good game of football every time the German team is on the field.

I don't! Other than beating up on the super inadequate Saudis, the only good games I watched in this WC that Germany was in it was watching them being outplayed by the Irish, the Americans and the Koreans!<g> But in the final they showed up finally no doubt about it.

>"jogo bonito” and I have enjoyed every single World Cup tournament and no doubt will continue to do so in the future...

Oh yeah!

> I may even go "live" in the next cup in Germany.

I am thinking about it too...maybe we can all meet there this time and have the SI thread live over several rounds of beer (I will stick with wine, I hate beer)!
