No I disagree, this board is a LOVE fest and nobody wants to hear anything negative. I dont always agree with M-ass, but he and rob are the only people who will give you something to think about. S&P said today that IBM/CSCO and other big techs are overstating income substatially, MM and I spoke of this as big problems. Qcom is an honest straight forward bunch, but I would be lying if I said all the write ofs every quarter werent disturbing. A fact I brought up even in the heyday. I think Qcom needs to start reporting Gap numbers, and stop writing so much crap off. If I knew any less about this company I would be unhappy with this pattern. Companies like IBM/TYCO/CSCO etc use writeoffs to manage earnings something that is now coming back to haunt investor's.

I think if you made those arguments on a monthly basis rather than daily, you bump into fewer irritated folks i can't agree with you here...i believe it is the message, not the frequency of the message, which bothers people. consider your own case w/r/t another contrarian poster--waverider. he doesn't post much these days, but when he does, you criticize him, stating that he only posts on "down" days. not that i believe he only posts on down days, but you kind of use his infrequency of posting against him. Perhaps you are still trying to reach that one last sheep herder in the foothills of Eastern Slovenia? i am not a "proselytizer". i just like to speak my mind. i don't care if people agree with me, and if they disagree but back up their positions with intelligent arguments, that's fine. people who can only respond with personal attacks, well, there's always the ignore button.
