As a surgeon, Tyco is a real company to me because I use products from their subsidiaries day in & day out. These include Kendall, US Surgical, Mallinckrodt, Valleylab, & InnerDyne. These companies make real products which are used in volume by surgeons & other physicians. In fact, I ended up owning TYC shares after they bought InnerDyne shares of which I owned before.

In my opinion, TYC minus CIT is not valueless. I hope the smoke clears soon, & the stock can achieve whatever might be its fair valuation.

Chuck

What about US Surgical and the whole medical business . Also Mallinkrot was excluded. You need to do some homework before posting. Valve business also.
