And true, unfortunately.

Those who aspire to something more than mediocrity for humanity will always find ways around enforced mediocrity. Always.
Let us hope so.

Setting aside the "bureaucracy" and "unions", the real opposition that warns that vouchers might not work ought to answer the question: Is today's system working for all or even most students?

If it isn't, then why be so strongly opposed to something which offers at least the possibility of fundamental positive change?

It is doing so badly that it begs to be replaced. It is fundamentally corrupted and is beyond repair. We have tinkering with it and trying to fix it for decades. It is time to throw it out.
