Nobody likes a pessimist

I like the way Fleck put it a few weeks ago: "I'm not a pessimist, I'm an optimist that my shorts are going to work out." <g>

I got my dad to take a small position in DROOY at a buck, but I couldn't keep him from taking large positions in numerous bloated pigs on the advice of his broker. His last buy was TYCO. I told him it was going to implode. He didn't listen. I could pull my hair out thinking about it. In his eyes, I will always be just an amateur disagreeing with what the pros are saying on CNBC and the ilk.

yah but IBM is a favorite. I dont think the average investor has a clue how IBM derives its earnings, I know I dont. I just know there is no way to increase earnings 20% whille rvs are 1-5%.
