Hello Roy and All,

I have long been involved with Wearable Computers, and so also Xybernaut. Although I have wanted to share and discuss perspectives about this market - and *all* of the various companies that are involved - I have to admit that this thread is a tough one to tolerate for me.

The long standing practice of old and repetitive posts, along with the narrow focus on only XYBR caused me to think today to create a new Subject ... Subject 53114

Please feel free to join me on a new thread called "Wearable Computers and Technology" to discuss the broader subject.

I have attached a public portfolio to this thread also, and I will add more stocks to the portfolio if they are deemed by the list to be related to this area.

I also plan on sharing some of my R&D efforts, and real-world experiences with the various products.

I welcome anyone who would like to contribute to a productive, growing conversation about what the future holds in the area of wearable computers.

Scott C. Lemon

WTNT BREAKING NEWS ALERT

Witnet completes co-marketing agreement with Xybernaut(R)
Mobilick Software Combined With Wearable Computers to Provide Remote Application Management

MONDAY , JANUARY 27, 2003 01:34 PM

FAIRFAX, VA, Jan 27, 2003 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Witnet International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a co-marketing agreement with Xybernaut Corporation (XYBR). Xybernaut is a world-leading innovator in wireless mobile computers known as wearable computers.

Xybernaut provides wearable computing solutions through a complete line of fully functional wearable PC's known as the "Mobile Assistant" and a new line of dual-use wireless tablets known as "Atigo." The Mobile Assistant runs on most Windows operating system and the Atigo L runs on Windows CE.NET.

Mobilick supports both Xybernaut product families with unique wireless capabilities for organizations that have diverse integration needs when deploying mobile solutions. Specifically the Mobilick solution offers the ability for mobile users to remotely access and control any application on the network without the need to have the application itself running on the mobile device.

Mobilick creates a virtual "window" to applications that reside anywhere on an organization's network. Mobilick can also provide access to applications residing on even a single remote workstation. Under these configurations, the Mobilick-enabled wearable computer acts as a remote control to applications for data input, command and control.

"This capability is important because many organizations are can now realize significant return on investment by deploying mobile solutions without modifying their legacy systems," said Jason Chung, CFO of Witnet. "This mobile/wearable solution sets the foundation for enterprise implementations designed for efficiency and cost savings in the field."

"This type of use of Mobilick is a new market for Witnet having originally designed the service for wireless PDAs. The 8 inch 800X600 display of the Atigo L runs on CE.NET makes the application extremely compelling," added Chung.

This agreement with Xybernaut extends Witnet's marketing plan to integrate Mobilick as a mission critical application ideal for many commercial and consumer wireless mobile computing solutions. The two companies have already identified key end-users and will announce their first joint win which is expected to include both service and software licensing revenues.

The Company is now marketing Mobilick in Asia and North America for Windows CE devices and the product is currently a service offering in Japan and South Korea with the leading telecommunications companies in those territories.
