goldworldnet,

Re: The War on Terror is much like other unwinnable wars.

Absolutely, just about every one of these "wars" has its very profitable "warriors". So far, this so-called war on terror has netted the DoD an extra $100 Billion per annum. War is wonderful, if you are a warrior. Especially with such a vaporous enemy to fight.

There must spooks around here.....

goldworldnet:

All these wars to which you refer exacerbate the problems they are supposed to eradicate. The war on drugs has failed miserably. The war on cancer is another joke. A greater percentage of people being treated for cancer were dying in 97 than died in 77. Ninety percent of Dutch students are fluent in English (their second language) whereas only 89 percent of American students are fluent in their first language, because the war on illiteracy is failing too. Don't ask anyone under 30 to do simple math without a calculator. That nutcase in AZ tried to win the war on his own poverty by setting fires to give himself work.

We have the CEO of WCOM saying he's sorry. Yeah, right. There's another war we'll have to fight...the War on corporate thievery. The only reason that guy's sorry is he was caught. We really need to give these folks our tax dollars as rebates so they can figure out more ways to con this nation.

Happy Anniversary.
