By Wolf's account the guys with the right stuff were the only pilots on earth that were both consistantly bold and still alive (thus allowing them to grow old). They were the guys that pushed the aeronautic envelope again and again and lived to tell about it. If they died trying, they didn't have the Right Stuff (a combination of amazing daring, skill, and luck). Yeager was the chief amongst a very small handful (less than 25?) in the entire world. Since there were so few, I would have to agree that statistically speaking there are virtually no old bold pilots. But some do exist. S
