That's the part I don't agree with. There were plenty of guys who had the Right Stuff who didn't have have a prayer testing planes that just weren't flight worthy. If the engineers didn't know that they had a bad design (or bad quality), there was no way for the pilot to know. Yeager himself admits that he was just plain lucky to be alive after the F-104 incident. The F-104, a really cool but dangerous plane that killed a number of pilots before being taken out of service. The point I'm trying to make is that you can have the Right Stuff, and something out of your control can still kill you. eg. The drunk driver that plows into the family sedan on the way home from the soda parlor. Back On Topic: The Right Stuff, or at least the Safe Stuff used to be investing in blue chips like GE :>(. I'm back in after a considerable layoff. Some BBY (not as good a price as you Dale), SNDK, ESST, and JNPR. The later is more of a ST play. If the market and economy doesn't completely crater, I think the first 3 have a good chance at significant gains. In spite of Tweeter today, I believe people are going to continue to stay relatively close to home (witness the 27% gain in movie going this summer so far) and spend $$$ on the latest toys. Having said that, GNSS demonstrates that one shouldn't just blindly buy the latest tech fad (I hope I haven't <g>). Also interested in PETM (when the dust settles on the 10% of shares just put on the market (stock went down 20% since news--hmmm) and IMAX. IMAX is a bit emotional on my part since I just went to the Space Station flick, and was blown away. IMAX doesn't look too expensive either on a P/S basis, although it would be better if it wasn't losing $$$. Opinion, Dale? Hope all is well with you. Jim
