false. The exact rifle used by our military snipers is the same as the model 700 Remington which can be bought by any American and the same or better tuning is available in the after market.

Perhaps there would be some, but a large % of the owners of firearms are Libertarians(or at least spelled with small "l" libertarians) which oppose almost everything done all government. There are even cases of environmental extremists (E.L.F.) shooting at loggers.
