Hitler was going to liberate the world from being enslaved by the [civilizing] influence of the Judeo-Christian tradition. Osama wants to do the same. The difference is that Hitler was going to replace it with the “liberated” beast, the free (pagan) spirit, the “Volk”… Osama wants to bless us with his preferred vision of Islam. In a certain sense they are the same. Many people take a while before they notice the obvious.

BTW, thanks for the interesting link. I noticed your remark about “the driving unmentioned belief”. Scary stuff. Doesn’t speak too highly about human nature. "All that is needed for evil to flourish is for good men to keep silent". Who said that? Well said.

Scumbria re: The most nauseating thing about the European's recent behaviour is the similarity to 1938 If true then the longer they wait the heavier the damage would be. If west would take appropriate measures when Versailles Treaty was broken Hitler would never had a chance to cause the death of almost 60 million people. -Albert
