Had President Truman been blessed with the same clear minded liberal thinking as yourself, we would still be fighting the Japanese. Instead Truman foolishly chose to deliver an unambiguous and resounding defeat, which ended 300 years of Japanese terrorism and aggression and allowed Japan to focus on developing into a world economic power full of Democratic ideas. It would be unthinkable to send the same message to the Palestinians, as that would deprive liberals the world over one more opportunity to feel superior to a downtrodden people, who desperately need the help of sympathetic westerners in their quest to retain their state of physical and spiritual squalor.
