To drill for oil on this continent is a costly business. Remember the environmental restrictions? Price is a factor in deciding when to drill in pre-determined locations. Why do you deny what you know to be true, ...you fought for these regulations and yet you now deny they exist?

There is plenty of oil, but much of it is "economically unrecoverable": shale,tar sands,a few thousand barrels here and there etc. The price of oil needs to skyrocket to make these sources worthwhile to oil companies.

No, ...more than a couple of dollars but, ...yes, ...that is exactly what I am saying and the EIA data proves this to be true.
