It will be interesting if the full appeals court says "We would have left the words in, but now that churches have taken up the banner of the pledge, and turned these words which were primarily ceremonially deistic, and turned them into religious words, we can no longer allow "under God" in the pledge at schools, because that is a violation of the 1st amendment"

I would say that, if I were on the court. And of course if their hadn't been a big fuss I would have decided the same way, but used different grounds.
