>>WCOM type plays, pure gambling just isn't my style

I agree, not my normal style either but sortta "forced" into
a "why not - what the heck" position and so far lucked out.
Scary that my only other major recoup was also by "accident" in what
tuned into a penny stock from a $2-3 one like wcom.
In that case, I averaged down way too many times, and in retrospect,
should have "gambled" gotten some more when it was at .12-.15, but I was lucky only
that I never saw it make a few runs up to my cost, so when it bounced
further to over $2.30 (hey that woudda been a 20 bagger !! ;=} ), I just happen to see it.
Of course, I only sold a portion of my holding around that time, but ended up getting rid of most of
the balance around my cost, as it made it's way back to the land of pennies!!!

I did sell half of the wcome gamble to lock in some of the run, but based on my previous experience,
I'd hate to "miss" that it might just bounce even higher!! I do tend to sell winners way too soon, when
I'm aware of them!! -- I know - don't don't go broke with any gain.. except conversely I also
tend to let too many losers go too long before I dump them.. Rats.. <gg>

That's why Zeev is so amazing.. He not only gets in near the bottom of a channel, but he gets out near the top.

Just getting frustrated, cause in general I seem to be doing well, just trying to get back even, after I screwed up last summer when I just left everything. I even set a little goal that when I'm even, a check goes to Zeev's cause.
So subconsciously it's Gotta help <gg>

As an example, I got some RMBS a few weeks ago - I thought @ under $4 w a p/e under 20 - good value play -
so.. Monday when it was@ 4.30-35 a nice 10% gain - do I sell then - take the 10% or put in a stop and let it go
since timing seems to be good - Zeev bear suit is off - so I put in stop... You guessed it !!
The stop was taken out that afternoon and down tues/weds but then turned and closed over 4.40 on fri !!!!
So I ended up with 3-4% - hey not bad... but relatively small position, need more to make up fror the others that are down.. But in retrospect, if I just ignored it w/o a stop - I'd be up. Of course if I didn't do a stop - it would probably be $3 or less !!!! ;=} So - just trying to get the hang of it !!! ;=}

There are so many posts on Zeev's thread, until I get some power on the island, I just don't have the time using
other peoples computer to keep up !! So be good Bill, (what else <vbg>) keep in touch. I do need to come down and see Bill Petry some time soon.
