MIAMI (Reuters) - Legendary baseball star Ted Williams, one of the greatest American hitters of all time and the last to hit .400 for a season, died on Friday at age 83 after being rushed to hospital with breathing problems, emergency and hospital officials said.>> the last man to have a batting avage for a whole season over .400.
The great one, who had his career interrupted twice by having to go to war.And as some believe, if it were not for those 2 wars he would be rated the greatest hitter in the history of baseball, that is above Babe Ruth. Max
