Analyst Holdings:

Really not the issue at all, but rather the relationships,
holdings, aspirations etc of the EMPLOYING INSTITUTION.

Short, if you and I were analysts, I would put my holdings in a blind Trust (managed by you)and you would put your holdings in a blind Trust (managed by me) and in our CONVERSATIONS we would have our "code words and phrases" to
communicate what was going on.

All this stuff is a cynical smoke-screen for the stupid masses, but hardly a serious effort to deal with the issues.

AGreed. I also didn't think the TV analysts rules have gone far enough. All CNBC has been asking these people is if THEY have a position on the stock. How about their employer and clients? How about their banking side? Do they have a business position with that company?
