The following article was written in Feb 2002, five months after Sept 11. earthtimes.org A good measure of where we are headed is if we stop to ask what changes we have seen since then. Have things improved or worsened? We have had WorldCom, Martha Stewart and such corporate level scandals. Hope the American people send a strong signal to Bush in November. He needs to get serious here. So far he has thumbed his nose at the world. Scrapping the treaties, trying to move forward with Iraq invasion in spite of opposition from others, finding itself alone in the Israeli-Palestenian situation etc.
