1. I was speaking about the origins of government. If you reject the role of religious belief and authority in that, say so. If you want to talk about the history of slavery, start a new topic. 2. You must be smoking some good shit, dude. 3. I lived in Japan as a youngster and and as an adult and interacted with people at all levels of society. Almost any generality you want to express about religion in Japan is going to put you on shaky ground. While you're at it, don't overlook the fact that, until recently, the Emperor was regarded by many as a "God". 4. Is it? I await your proof. Unless you can explain the origins of the fundamental universe, I think belief in the existence of "God", however you choose to define the term, is more rational than other points of view.
