Yes I know about Huber.

If I'm not mistaken, CSCO at one time offered CORV $10 B in stock, prior to CORV's IPO.

This was when fiber optics growth was exploding.

If I remember it correct, it was the acquisition of Cerent by Cisco in mid 1999 that sparked the mind-boggling valuation game. I even got caught up in this game.

But now investment by Buffet to the tune of 100 million in dying telcos is certainly a good sign. It could indicate a bottom in telco and networking sector.
No wonder Barrons had a positive article this sector. What a co-incident. Barrons's article and Buffet's investment. These Barrons guys do get information that is not privy to J6P.

On Corv, all true +

Cash is plenty.

The products are great performers, Long Haul and underwater.

But demand has died, while Dr. Huber set everything up and spend money to do ten times, at least, this 02 semester work.

Now he has a real desert to cross, so please, don't stone him for he carries some paper money of mine.

All in all I believe he genuinely mistimed the demand by far, or he would have let CSCO swallow him when the tide was up.
