Fundamentally it's earning money and pays a dividend... Not bad in today's market...

As for interest rates, they should stay where they are until the end of the year or early next year... With midterm elections coming up it's politically inconceivable to raise rates that could weigh on any recovery attempts... Also, Alan Greenspan would like to retire with the economy on the rebound... Raising rates before solid proof of a rebound jeopardizes his legacy...

The dollar moves in cycles... Right now we seem to be forming a bearish head and shoulders pattern that could see tests in the 100 area...

Lower dollar is good for exports but bad for imports to our country... Since our dollar is worth less, it will take more dollars to buy imports... This tends to be inflationary as domestic producers are not forced to keep their prices low because a strong dollar makes imports cheaper... A weaker dollar offers no incentive for domestic producers to maintain lower prices... Unless they really want to grab market share away from the likes of Toyota and Honda... After a multi year drought of little price flexibility domestic producers are likely to go for the bucks rather than snatching greater market share...
