The Palestinians lost territory during their aggression of 1967, and Israel occupied territory to establish defensible borders. The fact that some other countries (also under the threat of Arab terrorism) say that they consider the Israeli occupation to be illegal, has little historical precedent. Israel has no historical or ethical reason to negotiate, yet they made a very generous offer in 2000 which Arafat has recently admitted was a reasonable basis for negotiation, and President Clinton has said was based on the UN resolutions.

Noel. You said...." You might believe that the present situation can not be solved through negotiation. I do. But the basis for these negotiations must be 242 and the Oslo Accords and Israel does not support these resolutions/accords and never has."..... And will negotiations reverse the mind set of generations of arab/palestinian kids who have been taught as part of their education to hate and kill Jews whenever they can? You have generations of people who really believe what the crazed muslim mullahs have taught them. This will not change overnight with the creation of a Palestinian state. Will these people be able to put their hatred on hold and be able to teach their kids to live in peace?
