<<Bush, as expected, contributed nothing except handwringing.>>

I wouldn't call talking the DOW down 186 contributing nothing.

OT..>>>Bush, as expected, contributed nothing except handwringing<<<

This is the fault of Bush advisors...this speech was billed as a major policy speech....But in reality he said nothing new and just repeated a bunch of tired phrases. ("We need corporate integrity, bla, bla, bla..".hell Hoover said the same thing 70 years ago, and("I lowered taxes...bla, bla, bla.")

To my way of thinking listeners were expecting some solutions to the current problem that were either new or innovative....and got neither.

Remember when Bush Sr. was President...he would be asked a question by a reporter and then he would talk for a half hour and never come close to answering the question....Bush Jr. is getting to be the same way. (Family listening problem)

If Bush had asked for the death penalty for corporate financial terrorists the market would have rallied about 500 points.
