That's what Goldman Sachs wrote in early June. My concern is what this valley looks like. Bear Stearns' Siebel coverage initiation today painted a "winter" for enterprise applications software that extends another 18 months. That is plainly dire.

It doesn't add up. It seems the only way this could get that bad is with a corporate credit crunch.

Stealth layoffs have started to happen at some large software companies.

I think everybody is laying off. And lots of H1-Bs are going to have to go home, so the pool of available workers is shrinking.
