Not sure what you mean by this statement? Foolish to try and maintain market share? or Foolish to invest in none core business?

The market does not seem to remember the past. If Intel can get EPS and revenue on a positive growth curve the share price will ultimatly get on board. Not sure we will see 100+ multiplier on forward looking earnings, but 25 cents a share for a quarter with an outlook heading toward 50 cents in the 18 month horizon could get us back to $40/share... maybe higher.

I don't believe Intel will just raise pricing for the sake of doing it. Intel will determine how many chips they can build, and then create a speed mix and pricing model to maximize revenues and profit dollars/eps(not margin). Intel will also get benefit of 300mm and .13 and .09 in the next couple of years so cost should come down which should lead to lower pricing at the bottom segments, and therefore a bigger overall market.
