I don't know. How many folks buy the slowest processor available? Just like any other end user product, folks are willing to pay at least a few extra bucks for perceived value. If not, Intel's business model falls apart.

Everybody likes to call the microprocessor business a commodity business. There are no commodity businesses with ~50% GM's. It's still value added.
