Re: If AMD is not careful, they may end up with a CuMine type Fiasco themselves.....

Prayer from the condemned?

Got a hold of some leaked Hammer data, did you?

Itanic sold 3200 units in its first year, Hammer will sell that many units in its first day.

Microsoft will make sure the world understands how very much we all need 64-bit processors and operating systems, and how utterly outdated the old 32-bit chips are. Itanic can't run any real software, and what's the point of buying a Pentium? Why bother replacing one obsolete 32-bit chip with another obsolete 32-bit chip?

Well, maybe as long as it doesn't cost more than $50 - for the highest clocked part...

re: Deja Vu......?
It is obvious that your assumption is that it would take more than 12 months for amd to redesign controller. I wonder what would you consider as a more reasonable time frame, maybe 10 to 15 years? :-))
