``Halliburton overstated profits that many American citizens relied upon. That's fraudulent security practices and it resulted in those Americans suffering huge losses,'' said Larry Klayman, chairman and general counsel of Judicial Watch. The filing, made in U.S. District Court in Dallas, was announced at a news conference in Miami.

Matt:

One thing we can all agree on, Cheney is a very smart person... He's keeping many of those Bush plates spinning... He's the man behind the curtain in Washington... I would find it hard to believe that such a hands on bright person wasn't aware of the overstatement of revenues... A picture is unfolding of an inner circle of business and political leaders profiting from the inside information they have about fraudulent bookkeeping that is designed to make the members of this inner circle wealthier at the expense of the average Jane or Joe who faithfully have invested for their future in companies with false bookkeeping... This could be bigger than Watergate for those willing to look under these rocks...
