Softie remains the bull's best hope in the very short-term. If we are in a 3 wave 'e' up in our coil, then it is quite likely we are finishing off the middle chunk of that wave and we will head to the top of our large coil now at $57 or so. Should be a nice little move should it happen.

I've begun seeing signs that the stock market fear is reaching the mainstream.

Today's front page headline in the NY Daily News was "Bush Talks Tough, But Markets Slump!"

I also noticed that NBC's Evening News' lead-in story was how the stock market continues to plunge as nervous investors pull their money out.

USA Today's website headline screams, "Dow Closes Below 9000
GM, Ford downgrades push Dow to lowest close since October."

Washington Post's site (top headline): "Markets Fall Sharply For Third Straight Day Dow drops 283, closing below 9,000 for the first time since September.

NY Times' site: "Another Tough Day for Wall St. as Accounting Worries Surface Again"

There are probably many more headlines.
I just got tired of looking. I've yet to find one that hasn't mentioned it. Even the NY Post (tabloid/rag) has it in the breaking news section...
