I for one am pissed that Randy Johnson didn't pitch...I can't imagine Bob Feller, Koufax, Drysdale, Gibson, Marichal or Whitey Ford EVER turning down an All-Star assignment, as long as they could pick up the ball. Appears the fundamental problem with baseball is that money, quite frankly, has ruined the players (and the management, but that's a whole different tangent).

IF we have a prolonged recession, the first indulgence I hope gets whacked out are ridiculous salaries for sports "stars" (and CEO's, and TV "personalities", etc). I ain't a socialist (well, not much of one), but it's pretty ill......
