It's idiotic to not arm the pilots! What on earth could be the logical reason behind it?


If there is a terrorist on the plane the best course of action is to keep the cabin door shut. What's the pilot going to do? - start shooting through the walls? You might try to make a case for arming the flight attendant, but the pilot? no way!

We wouldn't need the law if the Bush administration hadn't come out against arming pilots. But Mineta and Ridge (to name two) are against it.

Why not fault the administration now?

Given the popularity of flight school with terrorists, why won't they simply use their pilot credentials to walk right through security with guns?
