First of all, you keep perpetuating a myth the budget was in balance or running a surplus under Clinton. It was not. Unless you use Enron type accounting methods and include prommisary notes from social security as cash, the budget was never balanced.

What would I do? Cut taxes even further. Keep this economy going. And cut spending on wasteful social programs. I would also privatize social security and end the ponzi scheme where delusional Al Gore hallucinated a lock-box under his desk. It doesn't exist. There is NO money in the Social Security Trust fund. Those who perpetuate that myth make Enron executives look like my grandfather who hid gold in his back-yard for safety.

Privatizing Social Security would shift billions of dollars into investors hands from the waste-filled government fraudulant auditors and help the stock market recover. If your primary concern is the market, no better news (except the confirmed death of Ben Laden) would be an immediate privatization of social Security.

The falling dollar is not a problem. It may actually help our economy recover in the short term.
