hey dick: we have a new name for you neville richnorth. your views of saddam are a tad naive, and of course you have to cast the US as haing some kind of alterior motive. It can't just be that the US regards him as menace to the region and to the world. forget about his gasing of the kurds(which richnorth can of course relate to). forget about his mass killings when he invaded kuwait. forget about the way in whcih he put down the southern region of his nation. forget about the reign of terror around him. forget about his use of gas in the war with iran. forget about the environmental damage he did by destroying the oil wells.
no, from dick's perspective, perched up in the ole' north country, feasting on his liberal proclivities, saddam just don't look so bad. dick, if it were up to you, no one would have stood up the the germans in wwII. you'd be "seeing their side" and condemning any effective response.
