Intel has an interesting problem. Dell is taking share from the rest of OEMs and as the result Dell is annihilating margins for the rest of the PC industry. By taking share Dell is trashing Intel's margins the worst due to heavy discounts they get on CPUs.

If AMD go bankrupt, INTC share double and Fidelity make a lot more.

Keeping AMD's share low make it more difficult to raise cash if needed. It also require higher engineer cost if option are unattractive.

Many others advantages that INTC had when the enjoyed rising share price...
