But when one looks at the overall picture, sometimes its better to stay put in either position, depending on ones style and analysis of the market. After trading this market for the past months, one gets the idea that we are still trading from fundamentals and news, of which it has become more difficult to trade soley from charts and technical analysis. Being the huge proponent of technical analysis, it has become difficult for me to grasp that concept. I say this only to explain how my viewpoint has developed in playing these "swings" in stocks, particularly EBAY. Rather than playing the swings of how it trades, thus risking losing your money on these intraday moves, I was thinking along maybe looking at the overall picture from a weekly chart. Forgetting just the fundamental analysis of this stock, even from a weekly chart point of view it looks very shaky. Of course it could go higher and theres always that risk. But I guess one has to ask oneself if after trading these "swings", that maybe, after analysis. its better not to just take the small moves (and volatility of risk), but rather take the HUGE move.( For example looking at EXPE..is it better to trade the swings or just to have shorted it at 80 and covering in the teens? ) I really think EBAY could move at least another 20-25 points down from here so my initiating small postions now doesn't seem like a huge risk, but thats just my opinion. If you feel like you can get that amount of points from these swings, then more power to ya. Dunno....just thinking along the lines of how this market is thinking and trading. Is it riskier to trade intraday or swings?...or better to wait for the grand finale? Just wonderin also....has anybody ever seen a downgrade of EBAY?. It amazes me that it hasn't happened already in this market, unless it has at some point and I'm mistaken. If it does happen, then the floodgates would open bigtime, IMO. Thanks TraderXx
