Brian, can't hurt even if Dell does it by stealing market share. >Dell Raises Guidance for Earnings, Revenue<

Sounds like more confirmation that the PC market is not growing. Good for Dell but negative for the semi industry as a whole. However the market is in rally mode for a few days and will ignore the negatives for now.

Brian, you can now pick up the Applied Materials equipment you have always wanted through an EBAY auction. You still have time to bid on one of the Etchers! Hey, how did that little $300 item get in there?
We live in amazing times.

'People were not expecting...Dell to gain market share'.

Fine. But this is a bizarre and glaringly hollow foundation to propel the tech sector.

When a bellwether shows revenue/earnings enhancement from market share growth, as completely distinct from any sign whatsoever of improvement from pathetic demand levels, indicates this news is a completely false proxy for recovery of the computer/software/semiconductor sectors.

Friday's are rapidly gaining hero status via the Dead Cat Bounce Society.

'ppreciate your efforts in keeping the KLIC thread abreast of developments.

Best wishes,
Scott
