Jozef, Re: "AMD to Make Mainboards?"

AMD doesn't have the resources right now to create a new group within their organization. In any other time, this would be a good idea, but right now, it would only lose them more money.

RE: AMD to Make Mainboards

Just as important, they need to offer thin&light and high performance notebooks.

It may be that they will have to go with the Apple model.

The could become the premium supplier of X86 machines - given what has happened with Dell service, it won't be hard.

AMD had to make a mainboard for the OEM samples so maybe they made 50K more to seed the market for an early release of initial Clawhammers.

AMD to Make Mainboards?

Joe, I think its good news. AMD needs to have more control over its destiny.
