Thought I'd stop by and say hi, John. Amazing how dead Silicon Investor is these days.

In April of 2000, when I turned bearish, I tried my very best to warn the uneducated morons as to what was going to happen to the markets. You would not believe the insults I got.

I've lost the exuberence in talking about the bear case, but when I do talk about it, people listen instead of laughing me off. But they still haven't changed their investment portfolio which makes it clear to me that we have a lot more to go here (Nasdaq 600, Dow 3500).

When I talk about a massive property devaluation in areas like San Francisco and New York, I get the same type of laughs that I did in 2000 in presenting the bearish equities case. These are generally from people who thought they were "smart" for staying away from equities.

I guess it goes to show that one needs to be versed in all asset classes to win the "marathon" of life...Darwinism is alive and well.
