We clearly have a different view as to what's positive and what's not. I was going to ask what, precisely, it is you hate about Coulter. I think she is angry. I know I am -- many of us have stood idly by as liberals have used the "politics of personal destruction" against every conservative candidate, lied relentlessly in their efforts to damage other people, and, in general, have just not been very good citizens. So it isn't surprising that she, and other conservatives of integrity, are a little pissed. We are all angry......its part of the human condition. And it in part stems from the fact that we can't and shouldn't get everything we want;that life is full of compromises. But its you who thinks that it should be the opposite....that because you stand for integrity, you should have things your way. But what you fail to understand is that integrity is just one of many principles in this life that need to be venerated, and that integrity and you and your conservative cohorts need to stand in line like the rest of us. Opinionated? Is there something wrong with that? YOU aren't opinionated? Sure, I am opinionated but I would never, ever go on national tv and castigate an entire group of people. Not only is it offensive and insulting, but it shows how limited her intellect really is and how much more she desperately needs to grow. Destructive? In what way? She certainly isn't as destructive as liberal commentators of the day. But what has she done that warrants the term "destructive", other than being absolutely, unquestionnably honest? Due you honestly believe she is a positive spokesperson for conservative values? Since I was a kid, I have always been a fiscal conservative not just in terms of money but in terms of the expenditure of all resources etc. One of the tenets of the Rep. party has been fiscal conservatism in gov't....at least in terms of financial expenditure. [although I have since learned that that's true except when the issue of defense comes up and then Reps are willing to spend like there is no tomorrow]. Their otherwise fiscal conservatism provides a nice check to the Dems willingness to spend on social programs. However, if Coulter is an example of how Reps. think, then in my mind, the less Reps. the better. She may get you all hot but for the rest of us, she is a major turnoff and most people start channel surfing. So you tell me how does that positively serve the conservative cause? Is that all you have -- to call this woman "evil" and condemn her the way you have? She is evil because she accomplishes the opposite of good. As a liberal, do you find it acceptable to trash people who disagree with you? It seems to me you're doing exactly what Carville did with Paula Jones -- attempting to destroy a person whose only crime is to be truthful. While I agree it is a liberal characteristic to behave in this way, I don't generally expect it from your run-of-the-mill internet liberal -- I usually expect it more from the party spokespeople, who after all, have no issues on which to stand. There is nothing run of the mill about my politics; there never has been. Its your extremism that causes me to be more extremist. As TGPTNDR put it, you are a little over the top.
