that's true only because conservatives are so rigid, pompous and anal, and did I mention insecure, that they could never concede an argument even if the fate of the world depended on it.

Ted, how often do liberals concede arguments? In my experience not very often. People, liberal, conservative, or other, don't change their minds too easily even when presented with good arguments, and more then half of the time the arguments in political debate, by both sides, are not very good, relying more on blasting the opposition, or on making an emotional appeal then on logic or facts.


Tim, I agree.......however, like with anything else, there are degrees. The Dem. party is much more a polyglot with much more divergent views than the Rep. party. Consequently, they are forced to make compromises. They may not like it any more than their Rep. brethren but they have no choice...........it is critical to their survival.
