Thanks Carolyn, but that's really not what I need.

I can reset a different URL in the address box,
but it is reset again to another one (which I don't want) every time I reboot.

I can press the "default" button and it will be reset to a Mcrosoft address,
or I can type in a URL of my choice, and it remains that way until I log-off;
but when I log-on again it is reset to the bogus address.

I'm assuming that something has happened, probably in DOS,
that overides my selection when the system is rebooted.
