I think Gen Powell would be fine for either position as well....Maybe some on the far right wouldn't like him, but IMO they don't count for much anyhow....BUT it would be people like the liberal left (JJackson, etc) that probably won't support him. After all, General Powell made it the old fashioned way.....He WORKED, and WORKED hard!!!

JJ and his ilk want to blame someone else for those who don't want to work....JJ just wants power, and any old vote will do.

Dave, I dont disagree with you, but from what I understand, SecState Powell is prochoice and supports affirmative action. I think that makes it unlikely that he will be included on any GOP ticket.
